About the Role:
This role will form part of the core professional group and will contribute strongly to the overall design capability of the team. The position is project focused and involves engineering design for the mining, minerals processing and utility sectors.
Skills and Experience:
The experience we are seeking includes the capability to take on a variety of roles within a project from the design and planning stages right through to finalisation and delivery.
Lead Electrical Engineers will have at least 10 years industry experience with a solid track record in the mining and utilities sector.
Your career to date will ideally have included the following:
- Senior Level project design experience in minerals processing applications, power generation, power distribution/ transmission or the utilities sector.
- High voltage engineering design.
- Experience in a consulting capacity.
- Experience with power simulation software.
Exceptional technical skills in;
- Power Simulation Assessments, including load flow, fault level, motor starting and harmonics.
- Experience with Regulatory submissions.
- Major electrical plant selection and specifications – Transformers, Switchgear, Cables, Motors.
- Earth grid design.
- HV and LV switchboard design.
- Power line design.
- Protection systems, device settings, coordination & fault studies.
- Testing and Commissioning
- Wiring, schematic, and termination diagrams.
Will be expected.

Key Requirements:
To be successful, you will also have:
- Electrical Engineering Degree, recognised by Engineers Australia.
- A demonstrable positive can-do attitude
- Commercial awareness.
- Well developed interpersonal and communications skills – written and spoken.
