Electrical Designers

The Role

The role(s) will form part of the core professional group and will contribute strongly to the overall project delivery capability of the team. In this role, you will:

  • Provide electrical design and drafting support for a range of projects.
  • Produce single line, schematic and termination diagrams as required by the drawing office.
  • Coordinate the drawings for each project, ensuring the accurate recording of revisions and tracking of documents.
  • Review and recommend design improvements in consultation with project engineers.
  • Liaise with clients, relevant authorities and suppliers as required to ensure accuracy of drawings.

Key Requirements

To be successful, you will also have:

  • Project design experience, ideally in minerals processing applications.
  • Experience in developing Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams and Termination Diagrams.
  • Proven AutoCAD experience (essential)
  • MicroStation experience (desirable)
  • Ability to interpret project specifications.
  • Ability to deliver tasks within the required time frames.
  • A demonstrable positive can-do attitude.

Graduate Electrical Engineer

The Role

The graduate position will provide the opportunity to develop skills working in a pro-active, friendly team environment with professionals specialising in innovative electrical engineering design.

Areas of exposure will include:

  • Project design for minerals processing applications.
  • High voltage and low voltage systems engineering design.
  • Design of Motor Control Centres.
  • Instrumentation specification and selection.
  • Development of design deliverables including cable schedules, equipment lists and instrument lists.
  • Design of Single Line, Schematics and Termination Diagrams.
  • Tendering and evaluation of major equipment.

Key Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering Degree, recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • A demonstrable positive can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
  • A willingness to travel to remote locations to assist with site work and commissioning.
  • Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia.
